Sniper Elite 5

Stone Eagles

By
Paul McNally

If you enjoyed Sniper Elite’s single-player campaign so much, you went and added the DLC to your game, you will have Mission 10 - Wolf Mountain in your mission list. This mission not only brings the opportunity to bring the war to an early conclusion by killing Hitler, it also gives us another three Stone Eagles to find and take out. So let’s go hunting.

Where to find the Stone Eagles in Mission 10: Wolf Mountain

The map is an open setting in the Bavarian Alps and all three Eagles are easy to spot - as long as you know where you are looking of course!

The first one you can ever pretty much see from where you start. So let’s go and find them and add them to our list.

The location of all the Stone Eagles in the extra DLC mission - Wolf Mountain.

Stone Eagle 1

(1 of 2) The first Stone Eagle can be spotted from close to the starting location.

The first Stone Eagle can be spotted by creeping up from your starting location. It’s sitting right on top of the Berghof where Hitler is vacationing. It is right on the top facing East and can be spotted from all around the perimeter. In fact, it’s not worth taking the shot at the start as you will alert the guards. Wait until you have worked your way around the house a little and take the shot from longer range, thus causing more confusion.

Stone Eagle 2

(1 of 2) The picturesque lakeside. You can see why Hitler likes it so much.

We went for Stone Eagle number two around the side of the Berghof, using as much stealth as possible to help us encounter less treacherous situations. Once you have sneaked around you will have a clear run to the lake with no guards to bother you. Make your way to the little jetty - there’s a boat next to it and use your binoculars to look across the lake. Scan for a shed and you should spot the Eagle on top of it.

Stone Eagle 3

(1 of 2) The final Stone Eagle sits on top the tunnel to Hitler’s residence.

The final Stone Eagle - at least until we get some new DLC is close to the tunnel at the Eastern side of the map. Depending on your approach you may have to come through the tunnel - we did on the way from Eagle number two. It’s heavily guarded on the side where the little depot us, but in here you will find a safe that has Hitler’s schedule in it, so make sure you take a satchel charge with you as well.

The Eagle sits on top of the tunnel. Easy shot, especially if you have cleared all the guards first.
