Sniper Elite 5

Workbenches

By
Paul McNally

Sniper Elite 5’s new DLC mission, Rough Landing, may see Karl Fairburne trying to rescue downed fighter pilots, but it doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of things to unlock and collect along the way. We have already found all three Stone Eagles and you can get help with locating those here, but now we are onto the Workbenches, where not only can you fit out your weapons, you also unlock weapon upgrades too. There are three to find in Rough Landing, so let’s track them down.

All Workbench Locations in Sniper Elite 5’s Rough Landing

Unlike the Stone Eagles which you can hit from the same spot, you are going to have traverse quite a bit of the map to tick off the three workbenches. Two of them are in relatively quiet areas but the third is in the heart of the Nazi hangout. Either way, it is unlikely you will get to them all without a bit of a firefight.

(1 of 3) The Resistance Camp Workbench is located on the tip of the South Eastern point of the map.

Workbench 1: Resistance Camp Workbench

This workbench is located in safe territory to the South East of the map inside a Resistance Hideout. As you make your way around to it you will pass several German points put you can skip past them should you so wish and get there with minimal interference.

(1 of 2) To access the resistance camp you will need to travel past the waterfall and climb these vines.

The Workbench itself is within a tent inside the camp, which also contains a couple of collectibles, valuable information from the fighters and a handy stash of weapons - especially Satchel Charges, which you will need to blow up the AA guns, so it is probably worth heading here close to the start of your missions if you can.

Workbench 2: Abandoned Cabin Workbench

The second workbench of the Rough Landing mission will see you need to traverse to the opposite side of the map. If you look at the layout of the land you will see a similar point jutting out on the south western area, virtually parallel to where you are on the eastern side currently. The workbench is located in a cabin when you get there.

(1 of 2) Don’t mistake the first cabin you come across as where you are heading. There is a German hiding inside.

To get to the cabin from the first workbench you can cross over at the end of the railway bridge. If you haven’t cleared it out previously there will be guards too. Also something to watch out for is you will come across another cabin before you get there, should you choose to enter it there is a German soldier hiding out in the generally, so go in with your guns ready.

Unlocks: Assault Case attachment bundle

Workbench 3: Mine Depot Workbench

The easiest way to get to the third and final workbench of the mission is to avoid the potential mission flashpoints to the east of the map and head straight across the railway bridge. There are guards there but they are few and far between so should not cause too many issues.

(1 of 2) Running across the railway bridge is the most direct route to the next workbench from the abandoned cabin.

Running across the railway bridge is the most direct route to the next workbench from the abandoned cabin. (left), You will need to kill off a few guards before unlocking the workbench which is inside this building. (right)

Once you have crossed the bridge, there is an L shaped building that is quite heavily protected. This is the Nazi Mine Depot. You can shoot the truck to attract the guards’ attention and pick them off from behind the wall.

Once the area is clear head into the first building, as you can see in the screenshot, and you will have located the third and final workbench of this latest DLC mission.
