Three more Stone Eagles to find and blast in Mission 3: Spy Academy in Sniper Elite 5.
This time we also have other environmental targets that resemble eagles, in the for of gargoyles in the buildings, so you need to keep your eyes peeled to make sure you get the correct ones.
Where to find the Stone Eagles in Mission 3: Spy Academy¶
The Stone Eagles are nicely spread across your route on this map.
The three Stone Eagles are spread around, but this time there seems to be a natural progression in locating them, rather than any kind of wild goose chase. There is one close to the start, one slap bang in the middle, and the third is close to the extraction point, so if you know where they are you can collect them all en route instead of hunting around for hours.
Stone Eagle 1¶

The first Stone Eagle is found before you get close to the town. Located on the Western side of the beach, you won’t be able to see it right at the beginning of the level but it won’t take too long to reach a spot where you can. As you can see on the map above it is one one of the three building close to the beach, so with a good sniper scope you can see, and pick it off from about half way up the beach as you move to infiltrate the town. Easy.

This second Stone Eagle is deep in the heart of the old town and it is quite difficult to spot from in front due to a massive tree being in the way. IN fact we had to shoot it through the foliage as we couldn’t get a proper bead on it. Still, leaves are no match for our bullets and so down went number two.

The third Stone Eagle can be picked off easily as you approach the extraction boat on the level. One thing to be wary of is there is a good sniper in the tower at the end of the wall. You should try and kill him much earlier from within the fortress - just look for his scope glint and take the shot, as you don’t want him taking aim at you right at the end of the level while you are trying to dispense with the statue.
