Sniper Elite 5

Stone Eagles

By
Paul McNally

The Stone Eagles are a symbol of nazi supremacy in the area and finding and destroying them will bring you extra XP, plus it can be a lot of fun hunting them down.

Where to find the Stone Eagles in Mission 1: The Atlantic Wall

In the Atlantic Wall mission there are three Stone Eagles spread across the map. You can find them in any order, but two are certainly easier to find than the tricky third.

Once you have tagged them with either your binoculars or sniper scope, a well placed shot will shatter the statue and you can move on to the next.

You can, of course, take them out as you play the game, but you may also find it easier if you have more or less cleared the map of Nazi soldiers before going on the hunt for them - it’s just a little less stressful that way. Right, let’s locate the three Stone Eagles on this mission and we can get shooting.

Stone Eagle Locations

The locations of the three Stone Eagles in The Atlantic Wall mission.

Stone Eagle 1

The Stone Eagle sits atop the beach front gun battery.

We will start with the most obvious one that sits atop of the massive gun turret that you can see from pretty much anywhere on the beach. If you locate the bunker and whip out your binoculars, you should see it and be able to pick it off. Beware though, any local soldiers will hear the gunshot and come running.

If you are struggling to find it, it will be marked as a “vantage point” on your map, close to the secondary objective of destroying the beach defences.

Stone Eagle 2

Watching over the radar installation, this Stone Eagle sits outside the map boundary.

The second Stone Eagle you will want to take out when you are at the part of the mission where you need to destroy the two pillars supporting the radar station. Now be wary as there are an awful lot of enemy soldiers around here so this one is definitely best done once you have cleared the area a little, unless you find yourself a free shot.

This Stone Eagle is actually outside the map boundary in the northeastern corner of the map and sits atop a chimney. Ready, aim fire.

Stone Eagle 3

The trickiest Eagle to find, you will need sharp eyes to spot this one.

This Stone Eagle can be tricky to spot even when you know its location. Head down to the beach front and keep going until you are at the furthest Southwestern point of the map. If you look you will see a seafront path that you can head down to which leads to a stand where you will also find a couple of panzerfausts (handy for destroying that gunboat), some collectable intel and, more importantly if you had back up the path a little and whip out your scope you will see, if you look carefully, this third Stone Eagle on one of the rooftops.

It is easy to miss however, so if you are struggling try to match up your location with our screenshot below and you should find it soon enough.

That’s all three done and dusted. Enjoy some lovely extra bonus experience points to spend.on skills.
