Material Quests require that you obtain specific materials dropped by certain enemies across the Bionis. Sometimes the drops are rare, so some farming might be required for a few of the quests.
Collection Quests will ask you to collect various collectables. In this case, the collectables can be located in either Eryth Sea or Alcamoth, depending on the quest.
