Description

All characters, except for Seven, can equip light armour. Light armour tends to prioritise Ether Defence over Physical Defence. This page will offer an indepth look at the top light armour pieces for each armour category: head, torso, arms, legs and shoes.

Top 3 Light Armour Sets

Alcyone Set

This set is slightly weaker than the others, since it has lower values in both Ether and Physical Defence. So whilst this is a great set, it would be advised that you move onto one of the other sets when you start collecting the different armour pieces.

  • Alcyone Cap - The Alcyone Cap can be dropped by M36/FAIRY and M38/ESSAY mechon units in Central Factory. This cap has 100 Physical Defence and 94 Ether Defence. It also offers one empty gem slot, which means you can choose whichever gem you like depending on which character is wearing this cap.

  • Alcyone Top - The Alcyone Top can be dropped by Defensive/SHAME units and the Soothed Aglovale unique enemy, both of which are found in Agniratha. This torso armour provides 130 Physical Defence and 180 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Alcyone Gloves - The Alcyone Gloves are dropped by Infernal Crocell in Mechonis Field and M55/DREAD in Agniratha. It offers the wearer 70 Physical Defence and 94 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Alcyone Bottoms - Alcyone Bottoms can be obtained by defeating Meditative Varla and Offensive/BRAVE mechon units in Agniratha. It gives the wearer 110 Physical Defence and 120 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Alcyone Shoes - The Alcyone Shoes are dropped by m67/SONAR and Faithful Lancelot, both of which are found in Central Factory. It offers 100 points of Physical Defence and 92 points of Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

Hierax Set

The Rondine Set has the highest total Physical Defence of the top three sets. On top of this, it is also has strong Ether Defence, too. This set is great if you’re looking for a balanced light armour set.

  • Hierax Cap - The Hierax Cap can be obtained from defeating Brabilam Vang and Musical Vanflare, who are unique enemies found in the high level areas of Tephra Cave. This head gear offers 110 Physical Defence and 100 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot. This light cap offers the highest amount of physical defence out of the top light head armour pieces.

  • Hierax Top - The Hierax Top can be dropped by Kyel Lexos in Colony 6 and Dark Hox near Raguel Bridge on the Bionis’ Leg. The Hierax torso piece offers 144 points of Physical Defence and 180 points of Ether Defence, which means it has the highest physical defence of the top three light torso armour pieces. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Hierax Gloves - The Hierax Top can be obtained from Panasowa Arachno and Vilae Arackno in Tephra Cave. These gloves offer 76 points of Physical Defence and 100 points of Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Hierax Bottoms - The Hierax Bottoms are dropped by Feltl Eks and Setor Eks on Valak Mountain. These bottoms offer 118 points of Physical Defence and 120 points of Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Hierax Shoes - The Hierax Shoes can be obtained by defeating Admiral Arachno and General Arachno located in Windy Cave on the Bionis’ Leg. They give 105 points of Physical Defence and 100 Ether Defence, meaning they offer the highest Physical Defence of the light armour shoes in this list.

Rondine Set

The Rondine Set has the highest total Ether Defence of the top three sets. It is perfect for the player who’s looking to prioritise Ether Defence, whilst using light armour over medium and heavy.

  • Rondine Cap - The Rondine Cap can be obtained from a variety of places. Tempest Vangs on the Bionis’ Leg can drop the cap, or you can also get it from completing the Family Secrets (Zel Argentis) quest in Colony 6. You can also buy it from Shop 9 in Colony 6. It offers 98 Physical Defence and 110 Ether Defence. This cap also has one empty gem slot.

  • Rondine Top - The Rondine Top can be obtained from Royal Caterpile and Pandora Pods found in Windy Cave on the Bionis’ Leg. It offers 130 Physical Defence and 200 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Rondine Gloves - The Rondine Gloves are dropped by Admiral Arachno and General Arachno located in Windy Cave on the Bionis’ Leg. They can also be obtained from completing Family Secrets from either sister (En or Zel Argentis). They offer 70 Physical Defence and 110 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Rondine Bottoms - Rondine Bottoms are obtained from defeating Envy Sardi and Dark Hox on the Bionis’ Leg. It offers the wearer 108 Physical Defence and 130 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.

  • Rondine Shoes - Rondine Shoes are obtained from defeating Dorsiar Lizards and Hanz Pods in Tephra Cave. It offers the wearer 95 Physical Defence and 110 Ether Defence. It also has one empty gem slot.
