Shulk’s childhood friend, Reyn is a member of the Colony 9 Defence Force, since he wants to protect those he cares about in his life. He serves as the muscle of the group and is quite tough, but also hot-headed. Despite his childness nature at times, he does know when to be serious.

Battle

Reyn is one of two designated tanks of the party, with his focus being to take hits. Because of this, he has a lot of health and can get a skill that allows him to equip heavy armour fairly early in the game. Because of his tankish nature, Reyn’s Talent Art will draw aggro from the targeted enemy, and this can be enhanced with two other Arts, Engage and Berserker. While he is definitely a defensive force of nature, Reyn is also a physical powerhouse, as he has a pretty high Strength stat.

Some of his Arts have a pretty low cooldown timer and the combination of Bone Upper and Dive Sobat allows him to not only inflict Agility Down on enemies, but also Paralysis. War Swing also allows him to hit multiple enemies at once, and Sword Drive has the potential to be one of the biggest instantaneous damage dealers in the game, provided you have the right buffs and debuffs applied. One of the few downsides to Reyn is that he has pretty low Agility.

Best Gifts

The following are the best gifts to give Shulk to help boost his Affinity with for other playable characters.
