Lords of the Fallen: All Endings and How To Get Them

By
Craig Robinson

If you’ve been paying attention to the marketing of Lords of the Fallen, you’ll have noticed an infographic that the marketing team released. Said infographic contains a notice that Lords of the Fallen has three endings, each with its own spin on the game. To help players understand the game, we are going to summarize the different endings for you. Be aware there are minor spoilers here due to the nature of covering the endings.

Lords of the Fallen: Three Endings Explained

Here’s how the endings in Lords of the Fallen work, and what you need to do to unlock each one and get their rewards.

As mentioned, there are three endings, and each one is a slightly different take on the overarching themes of the storyline. As you progress through the main storyline and take on the five beacons and their guardian bosses, you will start to make some decisions and effects to conclude the game. The choices you make have impacts on characters you’ve met throughout the game, with potentially more depending on if you’ve done side content or not. We won’t mention these small variations as it’s not entirely necessary. Yet, be careful about who you fight, as it does determine the pathway you go down. The three endings you can possibly get, along with the fights you can’t encounter are as follows:

  • Radiant Ending
    • You cannot encounter Elianne and must defeat Adyr.
  • Rhogar Ending
    • You cannot encounter Adyr and Elianne
  • Umbral Ending
    • Optional: You don’t need to defeat The Hollow Crow, Tancred, Master of Castigations / Reinhold the Immured, Judge Cleric, and the Radiant Sentinel beacon bosses.
    • You cannot encounter Adyr and must defeat Elianne.

To summarize, you need to cleanse the beacons and defeat Adyr, the main antagonist god, to get the Radiant ending, aka the good ending. If you intend to get the Rhogar, aka the fire worshipers of Adyr, then you need to avoid fighting both Adyr, and Elianne, and defeat the guardians. If you want the Umbral ending where the world becomes one with the realm of death, you can avoid doing all the skippable Beacon Guardian bosses and avoid encountering Adyr.

When you start getting towards the final moments of the game, after traversing most biomes and clearing out the regions, you unlock more routes. Eventually, these lead to the final areas where these narratives path through. When you’ve completed an area, head back to the Safe Hub, and you’ll typically find an item where NPCS once stood. These tell you where they went and, therefore, where you should go to progress the game. Eventually, you’ll start making decisions that affect the storyline, typically after the Tower of Penance.

Unlockable Classes

Also, there are three unlockable classes, each associated with the endings.

  • Radiant Ending: Radiant Preacher - an improved version of the Orion Preacher with its own armor set, polearm, and catalyst.
  • Rhogar Ending: Lord - An improved Pyric Cultist with its own armor set, one-handed sword, and catalyst.
  • Umbral Ending: Putrid Child - a class designed with Umbral magic from the start with its own death robes similar to Molhu’s outfit.

So, it’s worth knowing the endings so you can get an idea of what your next play-through starting class will be if you’re interested in dabbling with one of these magical-themed unlockable classes.

This concludes the Lords of the Fallen Endings Guide. You now know how the endings play out, featuring what content you can and cannot do. You also know the rewards for each ending in case you intend to start a new game as a new starting class.
