When you reach Calrath for the first time, you may encounter a door that requires the 
Sunless Skein Key to unlock it, and as you progress into the mines, you will find another door requiring the same Key. The Key can be difficult to find if you don’t know where you’re looking, and you have probably walked past it a hundred times. Read below to find out the location of the Sunless Skein Key, and what it unlocks.
Where to Find the Sunless Skein Key¶
Warp to the Vestige of Catrin in the Hoist, and exit the room. Make your way left across the shortcut, and follow the tunnel past the enemies into the next room. Now, head through the small doorway if you opened up the shortcut, otherwise, you’ll need to head up the stairs to the right, shine your lamp to pass through the bars, and make your way around it.
When you head through the doorway, you’ll be in a room full of empty cages, defeat the enemies here, and then climb up the ladder next to the cages. Now, either enter the Umbral Realm or hold your lamp out and turn to the left of the ladder to find a bone bridge leading to the top of a stack of cages. At the end, you’ll find a corpse with the Sunless Skein Key.

Sunless Skein Door Locations¶
There are only two entrances accessible with the Sunless Skein Key, one located in Calrath, which leads to a considerable area, and the other located in the mines by the Hooded Antuli Vestige, which leads to the same area, but from a different side of the area. In this area, there is a lot of loot, from spells to upgrades, and everything in between.
Calrath Door¶
Warp to the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch in the Alehouse, and exit the room via the doorway opposite the Vestige (drop). Turn left, defeat the Raw Mangler at the end of the path, and then head across the bridge. Go around the corner, and enter the Umbral Realm which will unveil a bone bridge. Walk to the end, pull over the small platform to the right of the other side, and head across the bridge. Here, there will be three enemies to make note of, the first and most important threat is the Infernal Enchantress, the second is the Bringer of Stillness to the right of her, and finally, the Raw Mangler below the bridge to your left.
Defeat the Enchantress first who is by far your biggest threat, the Bringer of Stillness second, although you could run to the left for an Emergence Effigy if you don’t want to fight it. Finally, defeat the Mangler if it comes, otherwise leave him down there to enjoy the view. Once all the enemies are defeated, head to the buildings behind the Enchantress, and you’ll find the Sunless Skein door.

Sunless Skein Mines Door¶
This is an easy door to find, simply warp to the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, and follow the path behind the Vestige where you’ll find the door at the end of the tunnel.
