Strengths of the AV-49 Wasp

The AV-49 Wasp has excellent maneuverability, being able to fly both vertically and horizontally at the same speeds, but also switch between the two with good responsiveness. This makes it a great option for flying over a battlefield to hit specific targets quickly. Its versatility is also increases by the presence of two offensive modes: a powerful machine gun, and missiles. The machine gun fires at high velocity with no cooldown and inflicts significant direct damage, whereas the missiles fire with significantly lower velocity, have a cooldown, but inflict explosive AoE (area of effect) damage. The AV-49 Wasp is only available on Big Team Battle maps such as Deadlock, Fragmentation, and Highpower, where it’s best utilized due to the large open spaces.

Weaknesses of the AV-49 Wasp

The main weakness of the AV-49 Wasp is its relatively weak armor. The lack of protection is what it trades for maneuverability and versatility in both movement and fire power. However, this does mean that it can be brought down fairly quickly with enough hits, even from regular weapons. A more powerful weapon such as the Skewer or M41 SPNKR will destroy it in one hit.

Where to Find the AV-49 Wasp

The AV-49 Wasp can be found at the right side of Tower Base on the Highpower map. It will spawn from Pelican drops from the same map, as well as on Deadlock and Fragmentation.

The AV-49 Wasp is perhaps the most versatile vehicle in Halo Infinite, allowing you to traverse the map incredibly quickly and take out enemies from a distance. It also gives you a a great overview of the battlefield if you want to fly a bit higher, but you’ll find it more difficult to hit enemies the higher you go:
