How to Use the Banshee

Basic Stats Overview

Seats Armor Weaponry Alt Fire
1 Weak Plasma Cannon / Plasma Bomb Yes

The Banshee is a flying vehicle which has been used by the Covenant since Halo 1. It comes equipped two weapon types, Plasma Cannons and Plasma Bombs. Plasma Cannon is useful for taking down other vehicles and players. Plasma Bombs Bombs which you can switch to by pressing Y which is great for taking out enemies from a distance due to the plasma explosives. In order to take down the Banshee you’ll want to focus fire on the Wings as thats its weak point or use the Skewer to one shot it.

Strengths of the Banshee

One of the main strengths of the Banshee is that it can cause havoc on the battlefield. A good strategy with the Banshee is to approach areas of the map which has lots of enemies and fire down Plasma Bombs to strip their shields so your teammates can finish them off. Additionally, you can press LB whilst moving the analog stick to the left or right to perform evasive maneuvers.

Weaknesses of the Banshee

Unfortunately, the Armor on the Banshee isn’t very strong so you don’t want to sit in front of enemy fire for too long, you’ll find yourself an easy target to take down. However, you can combat its weak armor by using LT to boost away, but once you’ve run out of battery you’ll need to wait for it to recharge.

Where to find the Banshee

The Banshee can spawn via Pelican Drop on the following maps: Deadlock, Highpower, Fragmetation. Pelican is a vehicle that cannot be controlled by players, but will regularly spawn into Big Team Battle Matches to drop off certain vehicles such as the Banshee.
