Best Gold Ticket and Decoration Farm

As you approach the “endgame” of Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll start finalizing your builds. One aspect of building an armor set is the Decorations you can place on them. Although the game gives you a good way to acquire them, there is a better way, and soon you’ll have so many decorations, that you’ll feel like Scrooge McDuck diving into a pool of gold like he does in DuckTales. Read on to find out the best way to get Decorations.

Nightflower Pollen is obtained from Ephemeral Blossom Flowers. These can be exchanged for various high-ticket items.

The Process

The simple way of explaining this is that you can trade "Nightflower Pollen" iconNightflower Pollen for "Gold Melding Ticket" iconGold Melding Tickets and these tickets are then traded to Vio in Suja, Peaks of Accord, who works the Melding Pot for maximum level Weapon and Armor Decorations, Weapon Relics, and even some "Hard Armor Sphere" iconHard Armor Spheres.

The only “difficult” part of this farming method is to find the Nightflower Pollen, which only appears during specific conditions. However, there is a way to obtain Nightflower Pollen easily by following the simple steps listed below.

Obtaining Nightflower Pollen

Nightflower Pollen can only be obtained in Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest during a full moon at night, although you’ll want to go to Windward Plains for this farm. There are seven moon phases, and resting will change it to the next phase. However, this will cost you 300 Guild Points per rest, so you will want to make sure you have enough Guild Points to do this. Fortunately, there’s also a neat trick for this too.

The idea is to rest at your tent until the day before a full moon arrives, then rest until evening, and accept the optional quest from Alma called, “"The Desert Knows Not the Sea" iconThe Desert Knows Not the Sea”, which involves fighting a Tempered "Balahara" iconBalahara. Finally, in the quest, go to Area 10 and then 3 to get both Ephemeral Blossoms, which will give you two Nightflower Pollens. End the quest via the menu and repeat the process as many times as you want.

Farming Guild Points

Simply, go to the Scarlet Forest, and Fast Travel to Area 8: Underground Lake. There are two places here that you can fish, which yield numerous "Platinumfish" iconPlatinumfish and "Goldenfish" iconGoldenfish. One place is to the right of the camp, and the second is to the left after diving through the water. Use your "Capture Net" iconCapture Net to scoop the fish up (saving you time), and once each place is void of fish, either rest or switch maps to make them respawn. Doing this can net you up to several hundred Guild Points each time.

Moon Phases Explained

Now, we’ll go into more detail about the moon phases. There are seven moon phases, and to find out what moon phase it is currently, fast travel to the pop-up tent in Area 10: Southeast, rest, and then change the time and environment to Nighttime and Plenty. From there, head south across the stream and face east.

After about a minute or so, you’ll see the moon appear above the mountains. Take note of what the moon looks like and match it to the image below. There are a total of seven phases in "Monster Hunter" iconMonster Hunter Wilds.

You want to keep resting until you land on Day 6, the one before the Full Moon. The best way to do this is to go to the Area 10 tent, rest until Nighttime/Plenty, check out the moon, and then count how many days you are away from Day 7. Now, go back to the tent, and rest that amount of days. For example, if your moon is the same as what is depicted in day 3 below, you would want to rest three times in succession.

Farming Nightflower Pollen Step by Step

Here is a full step-by-step on the farming method to get maximum Decorations.

  • Step 1: Go to the Pop-up Tent in Area 10: Southeast in Windward Plains.
  • Step 2: Rest at the tent and change the time/environment to Nighttime/Plenty.
  • Step 3: Wait for the moon to appear while looking east. Match the moon with the image above and rest however many times it takes to get to the one before Full Moon (Waxing Gibbous).
  • Step 4: Rest one more time at the tent, but this time only until Evening (environment doesn’t matter).
  • Step 5: Speak to Alma, go to Optional Quests, and start the 4-star quest, ““The Desert Knows Not the Sea” (Tempered Balahara). To save further time, select Area 10 as the starting camp.
  • Step 6: From the Area 10 camp, head northwest to find the Ephemeral Blossom. The node will be there, but you’ll need to wait a minute or so until you can gather it. Do so, when you can.
  • Step 7: After collecting the first Pollen. Fast travel to Area 3: South, get on the Seikret, go to the northern wall (where the basket of sand is), and then run into the wall while jumping off it. This will make you climb up to the ledge above.
  • Step 8: Gather the second Ephemeral Blossom on the small rocky ledge straight before you.
  • Step 9: Return from the quest by selecting it in the menu under the Missions and Quests section.
  • Step 10: Repeat steps 5-9 until you have enough Nightflower Pollen or you get bored.

That’s all there is to it. It looks like more work than it actually is. Note that you will need to repeat steps 1-4 again if you do something else after returning from the quest as the moon phase may be different by then.

(1 of 2) Talk to Nata, select Item Trade, and then choose Sekka.

Exchanging Nightflower Pollen for Gold Melding Tickets, Gold Relic Tickets, and Hard Armor Spheres

When you’ve got enough Nightflower Pollen, you’ll need to exchange them for one of the following: Gold Melding Tickets, "Gold Relic Ticket" iconGold Relic Tickets, and Hard "Armor Sphere" iconArmor Spheres. Gold Melding Tickets will give you Armor and Weapon Decorations, Gold Relic Tickets will give you Weapon Shards used in Artian Weapon crafting, and Hard Armor Spheres will upgrade your armor. All these will be the highest rank.

(1 of 4) You can find the Melding Pot in Suja.

Unfortunately, you need to check what each Trader is offering for the Nightflower Pollen by speaking to Nata (or Sekka) and see what they’re offering for the Pollen. If it isn’t the item you want, rest, and check again. One Gold Melding Ticket will give you 10 Weapon Decorations or 20 Armor Decorations, one Gold Relic Ticket will give you 15 Weapon Shards, or you can get 3 Hard Armor Spheres.
