Stable Space Guide: Not Enough Space & Livestock Management

By
Craig Robinson

Stable spaces are an important part of managing livestock in Manor Lords. The stable space offers you the chance to house animals you buy that help you with key tasks around settlements. Yet managing their population is an important part of the game. Here’s a closer look if you’re encountering “not enough stable space” in Manor Lords and getting over the logistical errors.

Having sufficient Stable Space in Manor Lords is important for the logistics of your town.

Not Enough Stable Space Solutions

For the most part, livestock requires stables or a hitching post to live in. You can build Hitching posts via the construction menu, requiring one log to build. You can then use two planks to upgrade a hitching post to a small stable. You can also get small stables for free built into the livestock trading post. Typically a Hitching post will home one livestock, while the small stable houses two livestock. You can see these stable space improvements by the UI on the screen where the livestock number is.

When you buy livestock at the livestock trading post, it is very easy to struggle with stabling your animals. Not having enough space means animals can run away after a short time and you lose them. Always make sure you have enough stable space.

The other thing you need to be mindful of is the issues with sheep and lambs. Both sheep and lambs require pasture space, rather than stable space. These two animals can live in pastures set in the livestock trading post, alongside the sheep farmhouse building. If your sheep reproduce or you hire more, it is easy to go over the pasture size.

It’s also the case if you have sheep breeding and fertilization developments. Each year your pasture size may change depending on how many fields and the size of the fields that go into fallow. Be careful of losing livestock this way, as it can happen very easily and automated without noticing until it’s too late.

These tips should help you keep aware of any livestock and stable space issues you may encounter in Manor Lords for the time being.
