Manor Lords’ church building piece is a fundamental part of your settlement’s approval and prosperity. As part of the game’s settlement development improvements, your citizens will want to embrace Jesus to be happy in their Burgage Plots. When you get to those points, you will need to start building and upgrading churches to achieve those goals.
Here is everything you need to know about building churches in Manor Lords.
Building Wooden Churches¶
To create a Church in Manor Lords, you need to do the following:
- 5 Lumber
- 20 Planks
- 10 Stone
Make sure you’ve built a Logging Camp to get the Lumber, followed by a Saw Pit for the Planks. One Lumber typically makes five Planks. You can then extract stone by mining stone on the region map.
When the Wooden Church is created, place a family inside. They will operate sermons, alongside serve as gravediggers for the dead. You will need to build the church to progress to Level 2 Burgage Plots, which is part of your goal to raise your settlement from a small village to a medium-sized village.
Upgrading Churches¶
When you advance into a large village settlement rank, you will get new tasks to upgrade Burgage Plot levels to 3. One of the tasks asks you to upgrade the church to a stone church. To do so, you need the following materials for the Small Stone Church:
- 5x Lumber
- 20 Stone
- 10 Planks
- 10 Rooftiles
For the most part, the Lumber, Planks and Stone are something you should be stockpiling anyway. However, the Rooftiles are the material that you likely won’t have dealt with before. To make Rooftiles, you need to extract clay, and then refine it into Rooftiles at a Clay Furnace which you can build in the Industry building types.
You now need to get Rooftiles to upgrade to the small stone church in Manor Lords.
