This page will show you where to find every Aether Current in the Mare Lamentorum area of the Endwalker expansion. In order to unlock flying in Mare Lamentorum, you will once again need to find all the Aether Currents in the area, some of which require you to complete certain quests in order to gain that Aether Current.
World Aether Currents (10)¶
These Aether Currents can be found on the overworld map in Mare Lamentorum. Do note: not all currents can be reached immediately and some need the MSQ to gain access to new parts of the map.
1. Bestway’s Burrow South East of Aetheryte Near Dancingway¶
From the Aetheryte crystal in Bestway’s Burrow, turn south east and head up the stairs. The current is in a corner near Dancingway at X: 21.8, Y: 13.7, Z: -1.4 and can only be reached by dropping down from the stairs on to the ledge it sits on.

2. Bestway’s Burrow Top Floor North of Blue Ball¶
On the top floor of Bestway’s Burrow, you will find this current just north of the giant rotating blue ball at** X: 22.0, Y: 10.4, Z -0.5**. It’s quite easy to spot so head over there and attune.

3. The Carrotorium North West (1)¶
Located in the far North West corner of the Carrotorium at: (X 6.8 Y: 6.8 Z: -1.4) atop a platform with some steps. Use the floating circular platforms on the side of the building to get to the aether current.

4. The Carrotorium Central Area (2)¶
The second Carrotorium current location can be found in the center of the Carrotorium atop a platform southeast of the first at X: (X: 11.8 Y: 9.5 Z: -1.6.). Some chests and barrels sit nearby.

5. Greatest Endsvale Near Entrance¶
As you enter through the door to Greatest Endsvale, you can see the next aether current sitting at the bottom of the stairs on a ledge to the left at X: 27.7, Y: 9.5, Z: -1.6.

6. Greatest Endsvale South East Near Pool¶
In the south east corner of the Greatest Endsvale area, through the crystal forest, you will see a bright blue pool where the aether current rests in the top corner at X: 34.6, Y: 13.3, Z: -1.7.

7. North West of Lovingway’s Darlings¶
In the Northern Mare Lamentorum region which you gain access to after the MSQ Back to Old Tricks, just north west of Lovingway’s Darlings on top of a moon crater is this aether current at X: 22.3, Y: 18.1, Z: 1.2.

8. Inside Crater in Northern Mare Lamentorum¶
From the last aether current, cross the little bridge to the west at** X: 22.0, Y: 20.7, Z: 0.6** until you come to a crater. Follow the little path underground where inside you will find the current near the crater entrance at X: 18.9, Y: 20.1, Z: 0.6.

9. Heimdall’s Last Sight in Sinus Tormenti¶
Head for Heimdall’s Last Sight in the Sinus Tormenti segment of the map which can be accessed from a bridge in Northern Mare Lamentorum. The aether current is found on some rocks near some wreckage of former ships at X: 34.3, Y: 23.6, Z: 1.4.

10. Sinus Tormenti South West¶
In the south west of the Sinus Tormenti region of the map, this aether current is found at the edge of a precipice, near the beam of red light at X: 29.2, 27.6, Z: 1.0.
