Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

All Aether Currents in Garlemald

By
Claire Farnworth

This page will show you where to find every Aether Current in the Garlemald area of the Endwalker expansion in Final Fantasy XIV. In order to unlock flying in Garlemald, you will once again need to find all the Aether Currents in the area, some of which require you to complete certain quests in order to gain that Aether Current.

You can access all ten world aether currents on your first visit to Garlemald.

World Aether Currents

These aether currents can be found on the overworld map in Garlemald.

1. The Eblan Rime East of Camp Broken Glass

As soon as you arrive in Garlemald at Camp Broken Glass, the first aether current can be found directly east on a snowy peak at X: 17.7, Y: 29.9, Z: 0.4. You can see train tracks in the distance.

2. Next to Tapper’s Den

You can be forgiven for thinking this one is found directly inside Tapper’s Den in the south east of the map but it’s actually found tucked away in a crevice just east of the Den at X: 25.4, Y: 34.3, Z: 0.0.

3. Juturna Platform G

One of the harder to find aether currents in the region, the current sits on top of the tracks in the Cerulea Ingens at X: 29.5, Y: 31.8, Z: 0.1. To access the tracks, approach the stairs at X: 29.2, Y: 28.2, Z: 0.0 and climb them until you see the piping. Jump onto the pipes and keep heading south until you reach Juturna Platform G and the aether current.

4. Liminal Station IV

Near the middle of the region map, you will find the remnants of a station platform. The aether current can be found in a broken tower at X: 23.2, Y: 23.4, Z: 0.2.

5. Northwest of Horrea Campi

Sandwiched between the broken tracks of Alta Strata and Horrea Camp, this aether current is found by a tree in deep snow at X: 11.1, Y: 22.9, Z: 0.6.

6. Near Forum Patens

On the western outskirt of the ruined streets of Regio Urbanissima is the Forum Patens. Just beyond here you will find the next aether current behind a tree in a similar place to the previous one at X: 9.4, Y: 14.9, Z: 0.5.

7. Regio Urbanissima North of Liminal Station 4

In the southern part of Regio Urbanissima and directly north of Liminal Station IV, the aether current is likely the first one you’ll come across in this area. It sits on top of a broken bit of rubble near a destroyed road at X: 24.1, Y: 18.0, Z: 0.3.

8. Palatium Novum

In the central plaza of Regio Urbanissima, the aether current is found at the end of a ruined road at X: 23.0, Y: 11.1, Z: 0.5. There is an on-ramp you can run up to reach the aether current.

9. West of Palatium Novum

After you’ve attuned to the aether current at Palatium Novum, this aether current is just west from there inside a broken tower at X: 18.5, Y: 13.0, Z: 0.3. You may not see it immediately as it is hidden behind rubble but run around and then inside the tower to find it.

10. Forum Solius

The final world aether current can be found on the eastern side of Regio Urbanissima at Forum Solius X: 29.1, Y: 11.8, Z: 0.4. The current rests on the edge of a little platform with some park benches and trees surrounding it. Quite the melancholic sight.
