How To Get The Garlond GL-II Mount In Final Fantasy XIV¶

Once you hit Rank 10 you’ll be able to purchase the Garlond GL-II Mount from the Island Sanctuary’s shop for 24,000 Seafarer’s Cowries.

Best Way To Get Seafarer’s Cowries¶

There’s several ways you can go about obtaining Seafarer’s Cowries, but regardless of whatever method you choose it’ll still take you a long time to save up 12,000.

Sell Materials¶

As you’re exploring The Wilds gathering various resources you may end up with some Rare Materials or Produce which can be sold to the Enterprising Export for Seafarer’s Cowries. This is a good method to do on the side, as you’ll gather these items naturally.

Complete Challenge Log¶

You can complete the Weekly Challenge Log which rewards players with 2,000 Seafarers Cowries per week. You can find these challenges by opening up the Challenge Log Menu and selecting the Other Option.

Complete Workshop Activities¶

This option is arguably the best option to obtain Seafarer’s Cowries, but you’ll need to make sure you have the three Workshops up and running in order to get the most amount of Seafarers Cowries for your time. If you’ve got the materials, then the most efficient method of using the Workshop is to schedule everything per season.

How To Get The Island Mandragora, Onion Prince and Eggplant Knight Mounts¶

The Island Mandragora, Onion Prince and Eggplant Knight Mounts can only be purchased with Seafarer’s Cowries which is a new currency added exclusively to the Island Sanctuary. However, before you can spend your Seafarer’s Cowries you’ll need to cabin which can be done by completing The Coziest of Cabins Vision. After you’ve built your cabin, speak with the Horrendous Hoarder and select the “Purchase Items with Seafarer’s Cowrie”, then you’ll see the three mounts at the top of the list.

As you may have noticed each mount costs 12,000 Seafarer’s Cowries, so you’ll need to save up a total of 36,000 Seafarer’s Cowries if you would like to get your hands on all three of them. This is a process that’ll take some time, so follow the steps above to get Seafarer’s Cowries as quickly as possible.
