When does Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER Season 3 Release?

Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER’s Season 3 kicked off back on June 2nd, 2022, however Square Enix announced a new trailer showing off new features coming to the mobile Battle Royale. The game originally released back in November 2021 and is currently available for iOS and Android.

What do we know about Final Fantasy VII: The First SOLDIER Season 3?

Season 3 of The First SOLDIER will continue until August 31, 2022, that means you’ll want to get a move on with the season pass if you wish to unlock everything. The main features of Season 3 is that it takes place in Midgar (Plateside), which means urban combat will be a heavy theme this season.

There will also be a new style for you to play around with, the Machinist. The Machinists in The First SOLDIER play a little different than what you may have seen from Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XIV. All characters can use guns due to this being a battle royale, so instead, the focus is on their gadgets. The Air Gadget can be used like a hover board and allow you to gain some airtime while also firing missiles. The Jamming Gadget, on the other hand, is sure to be a useful tool as it will jam nearby signals which will cause damage over time and disable the use of guns.

New Materia has been added to The First SOLDIER too, in the form of Water Materia. This Materia is unique in that you can use it to release orbs in arc that can strike players who may be hiding behind cover or around the side of a wall opening up new strategic opportunities. There are also two new weapons, the Serpent Launcher, a long-range rocket launcher and the Dual Wheeler, a magic assault rifle that will behave much like a shotgun when charging it with MP.

Two new accessories have been added for you to seek out and experiment with, both an offensive and defensive accessory. The Ifrit Belt is an offensive accessory that is used for Shotguns and SMGs. Killing enemies with this equipped will instantly reload your gun and increase your gun power for a short time. The Drain Belt is a defensive accessory that is used with LMGs, restoring HP when you strike your enemies with it.

As always, defeating monsters will reward you with special data and this season’s theme are the whispers from Final Fantasy VII Remake. There are plenty of Rare, Epic and Legendary character skins for you to earn by earning this special data. Finally, the new season pass features the Legendary Chocobo Suit and Jenova (FF7R) Character Skins.
