This page will detail how to defeat the Grandmaster of Fort Condor. Fort Condor is a new mini-game found in the INTERmission DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
How to beat Chadley¶

Your final opponent in Fort Condor is the Grandmaster himself, Chadley. You’ll find him at his usual position, west of the Avalanche Base. As you may expect from being the Grandmaster, Chadley has the fastest Board in the game, which will see him place Units at a blazing speed. He only has five Units available to him but three of them are Barrack type Units so expect to deal with plenty of Units in this match. Outside of them, Chadley surprisingly has no high cost HP Units, meaning you should be able to deal with them provided you choose an ideal setup.
The Battalion Board III you won at the end of Rank 3 is ideal to counter the Grandmaster Board, the Materia equipped is useful and you’ll have eight Units to choose from. Once again, the Grenadier Barracks will be an important Unit to bring along and get out early while the new Armored Shock Trooper should be your MVP, this Unit is a two-in-one as it will deploy an enhanced Shock Trooper Unit once it’s defeated.
The match itself is far more simple than you’d come to expect if you know how Chadley will attack you. His main focus is completely down the left lane, this means you’ll want to get that Armored Shock Trooper up on the left to begin with and then assit it with the Grenadier Barracks on that side. Once you have a strong selection of Units on the left, feel free to toss a Unit on the right to begin working on the Outpost there and then use HP Up to give them all a nice buffer. Your reward for defeating Chadley is the AP Up Materia, 10,000 Gil and x4 Condor Coins.
Rewards for beating the Grandmaster¶
Once you’ve beaten Chadley, the Grandmaster, you’ll obtain the rewards above, along with updating the wares available at Old Snapper’s Condor Coin Shop. This includes Elixirs for sale and the Grandmaster Board. You’ll also unlock Game, Set, Master. That’s not all from Fort Condor though, you’ll need to defeat all of the Opponents on your Hard Mode playthrough to obtain another Trophy and some Manuscripts.
