Brumal Form

Brumal Form is a difficult Weapon Ability to master but once you do, it becomes an invaluable tool in Yuffie’s kit. When used, Yuffie will perform an emergency evade that can be used even in the air. What makes this more useful than a regular dodge is that it will grant a boost to your ATB gauge and will move you further than a regular dodge roll. Once you learn to use it effectively, it should be bound to a shortcut and used against even the toughest enemies.

Evaluation

Although it may not look it at first, the Boomerang is Yuffie’s best weapon, especially for Hard Mode and her superboss. It’s a weapon that is geared towards Magic Attack with many useful abilities such as boosting all elemental damage type (to boost your Ninjutsu), high Magic Attack+ bonuses and Trade-Off, which will recover MP quicker when taking heavy damage. Once you reach Hard Mode and unlock the final Weapon Level, the ever useful Reprieve and MP Regeneration 50% Boost are abilities you should rush to unlock before taking on the toughest challenges in INTERmission.

When spending your SP on the Boomerang, focus on obtaining AP Up first before unlocking any new Materia slots. Be sure to pick up both Trade-Off and all of the elemental damage Boosts as they become available before focusing on Magic Attack. Once you unlock the final Weapon Level, obtain Reprieve and MP Regeneration 50% Boost as soon as possible.
