Elemental Ninjutsu

This Weapon Ability is the cornerstone of Yuffie’s playstyle and allows her to adapt to enemy weakness by using 1 ATB Charge to alter her Ninjutsu to a specific element. To use, toss the Shuriken and then press the attack button to cast quickfire Ninjutsu spells of that element. You can enhance this further by using Syngergize with Sonon and have the pair of them cast together, often driving up enemy Stagger Gauges with ease. To make this even better, Ninjutsu doesn’t cost MP, making this an extremely effective way to hit enemy weaknesses on Hard Mode.

Evaluation

As far as default weapons go, the 4-Point Shuriken is an effective one that strikes a nice balance between Attack and Magic Attack. On top of that, you’ll get some nice boosts to both HP and MP while the Elemental Damage 5% Boost will help your Ninjutsu pack more of a punch. The AP Up ability means that this will be the weapon you want to use when grinding Materia in the post-game. If there is to be a weakness, the 4-Point Shuriken suffers a little on Hard Mode due to it’s final Weapon Level lacking any meaningful upgrades outside of pure stats.

When spending your SP on the 4-Point Shuriken, focus on obtaining AP Up first before unlocking any new Materia slots. Be sure to pick up both Bloodsucker and Elemental Damage 5% Boost as it becomes available before focusing on your chosen stat (Attack or Magic Attack).
