Strategy¶

You’ll be able to receive this Battle Intel once you reach Chadley in Chapter 8 and this one is a little different from the others. This time, your task is to enter a virtual battle against Shiva and subdue her with the reward being the summoning materia of Shiva herself. You’ll find a full in-depth strategy for how to beat Shiva in the VR Missions page but there’s a few tips below to get you started:

• Don’t battle her alone, wait until Aerith rejoins you to make the battle a lot more manageable.

• Make use of the Elemental-Fire combination on Cloud to increase the damage you do.

• Likewise, use Arcane Ward-Fira with Aerith to deal significant damage to her.

Shiva is weak to Fire and will take significant damage from Aerith casting Fira.
