Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Lone Guardian

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Objective Reward
Found the item for future Bulma 140,435 EXP, D Medal (x15), Adventure Medal (x1), Android 17’s Soul Emblem

In order to begin this substory, you need to unlock Future Trunks as a playable character, as he isn’t a default playable character in the postgame. To do this, speak with Bulma in front of Capsule Corporation, who should be standing near Trunks by the time machine. Once you do this, head inside Capsule Corp and speak with Bulma in the open area to begin this substory. Trunks’ mother, in the future, asked him to retrieve something and he thinks Bulma in the past might be able to help him find it. To be specific, he needs a plant called magidemia, but it’s still a little challenging to find.

(1 of 2) Be wary of the multiple hits of 17’s Savage Combo

Be wary of the multiple hits of 17’s Savage Combo (left), Spamming Burning Attack in surge mode is a great way to do damage (right)

The magidemia will be found in the North Mountains Area, so travel there and head to the marker to find Android 17. He wants to test your power, so a fight will begin. This fight isn’t too hard, but it will probably be quite a lengthy battle, due to Trunks not being a high level and the fact Android 17 has a lot of health. As far as attacks go, he has all of the same ones as before. Savage Combo is a three-hit melee combo that will see all three hits come out, so be prepared for those. Hell Storm is just a bunch of Ki blasts being sent your way, while Barrier will block all damage. Since this fight can take a long time, make sure you have some healing items on you in case you need to heal. After the battle is over, 17 will fetch the Magidemia Seeds for you, finishing the substory.
