Community Boards are unlocked relatively early in the game and primarily function as a means for passive buffs. As you meet various characters in the game, you will sometimes unlock their Soul Emblems, which are kind of like medals. Each Soul Emblem has various stats on them and if placed on the Community Boards, can contibute experience to them. Upon reaching certain thresholds, the Boards will level up and grant various passive buffs to your characters. Note that every Board has a leader that cannot be removed from it, with one example being Goku is the leader of the Z Warrior Community.
