This page is dedicated to providing information on shooting stars and Celeste.
Celeste¶
Celeste will appear on your island around once or twice a month, usually on a night when there is a shooting star event (but not always). You’ll know when there’s a shooting star event because Isabelle will announce it via the island-wide broadcast.
If Celeste is on your island, she’ll show up in the afternoon and stay until late in the night, to watch the stars. When she comes, she’ll always offer you one DIY, it’ll either be a zodiac DIY, a wand DIY or a space-themed DIY. Wishing on Stars¶
To wish on a star, you’ll need to keep an eye (or ear) out for some stars in the sky. On evenings when there’s a shooting star event, there will be several stars per minute. You can also have shooting stars on regular evenings but they won’t be as frequent. They make a distinct twinkling sound and will show up as a bright stripe in your sky. To see your sky properly and to be ready to wish on a star angle your camera upwards by moving the right analog stick up. When you see or hear a shooting star press A. Your character will then make a praying motion to wish on the star.

When you wish on a star, the next day a star fragment will appear on your beaches. The fragments can either be normal Star Fragments, Large Star Fragments or Zodiac Fragments. The Zodiac Fragments are dependent on the time of the year you wish on the star. The zodiac fragments can then be used to craft zodiac DIY recipes obtained from Celeste. There is one zodiac DIY recipe for each astrology sign.

The Zodiac periods and corresponding astrology signs are as follow:
- Capricorn - December 22 – January 19
- Aquarius - January 20 – February 18
- Pisces - February 19 – March 20
- Aries - March 21 – April 19
- Taurus - April 20 – May 20
- Gemini - May 21 – June 20
- Cancer - June 21 – July 22
- Leo - July 23 – August 22
- Virgo - August 23 – September 22
- Libra - September 23 – October 22
- Scorpio - October 23 – November 21
- Sagittarius - November 22 – December 21
