Redeeming Nook Miles

When you earn Nook Miles from completing various tasks and achievements, you’ll earn Nook Miles, which can be redeemed at the Nookstop. There are lots of different items and upgrades to redeem using Nook Miles. Below, you’ll find a list of the most important things to redeem using Nook Miles.

Essential for Beginners

These are some of the first things you should invest your Nook Miles into. They will make life on your deserted island that much easier!

  • Nook Miles Tickets (NMTs) - NMTs are important if you want to go on lots of mystery island tours. For more information on what to do during mystery island tours, click here.

  • Pocket Organization Guide - This will cost you 5,000 Miles, however, it is definitely an essential. It allows you to increase your pocket space from 20 slots to 30. This is important to get in the early game because it lets you farm for resources more without having to stop as frequently to empty your pockets.

  • Pretty Good Tools Recipes - This allows you to craft better and more durable tools made out of iron. It costs 3,000 Nook miles. You will want the iron axe to chop down trees permanently. This is great for creating tree stumps which attract new species of bugs!

  • Tool Ring - The tool ring allows you to open up a ring of all of your favourited tools. It costs 800 Nook miles. Once you have bought it, use the up button on the D-pad to access it. You can register items by pressing A on an item and then choosing to favourite them.

The tool ring makes switching between tools easier.

DIY Recipes and Outdoor Decor

There are lots of different outdoor decorations that can be bought from the Nookstop for Nook Miles. You can either buy the DIYs there or buy the one off items that need to be delivered, like the street lamps or the vending machines. These items are great if you’re looking to add a modern touch to your island.

The DIYs are especially great because you make lots of fountains or wells to decorate your island with. They’re also fairly cheap to make, only using natural resources in the crafting process. You can also customize their colorings, which you can’t do with the premade items you can order from Nookstop.

Once you’ve unlocked the Island Designer app, you’ll also be able to buy upgrades for the app using Nook Miles.
