Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

What are Moon Orbs and How To Get Them

By
Jarrod Garripoli

One of the currencies that’s new to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is Moon Orbs, which is special and something you likely won’t see until after finishing the game. This page will explain what exactly Moon Orbs are and how you get them.

What are Moon Orbs

Once you complete the main story of the game, there will be a little Epilogue that will detail some new services that you unlock. One of these involves the Blacksmith in Brighthoof, who will unlock a new machine that allows you to place or replace Enchantments on items you loot and equip. These Enchantments usually add some buff to the item that enhances your gameplay, as you’ve probably seen from random ones you’ve already found during your normal playthrough.

(1 of 3) You can see Enchantments on items before picking them up

In order to change/add these Enchantments, you will need Moon Orbs. The first time you do this on an item, the cost will be low, but for each subsequent change, the Moon Orb cost will increase. Note that you can either keep the current Enchantment or change to the new one, so you aren’t forced to just cycle through them one at a time. The price will increase to a lot of Moon Orbs, though, so hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get the Enchantment you want. As of the time of this writing, the max amount of Moon Orbs you can have is 4,000, but the cost of Enchantments can go beyond that.

Where Do You Get Moon Orbs?

During the main story, you may get some Moon Orbs here and there, but the majority of them will be gotten once you complete the main story. During the Epilogue, you will unlock the endgame content of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the Chaos Chamber. This is a randomized dungeon that you can fight your way through, allowing you to put your skills to the test and acquire plenty of loot. The majority of your Moon Orbs will be coming from running through the Chaos Chamber. You don’t need to loot them, like with Eridium in past titles, as you will automatically collect them by walking near them.

In fact, you probably won’t even notice you’ve obtain the Moon Orbs, until you look at your inventory. Go to your Inventory tab of your menu and look in the bottom right, next to the Gold to see how many you have.
