One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Deathless Mantle.
Where to Find the Deathless Mantle¶
The Deathless Mantle can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. Outside of that, you can also get it as a dedicated drop from the Death Rattler miniboss, who spawns from the Ancient Obelisk in The Fearamid. If you’re looking for just this Armor, though, the best option is the loot rabbits at the end of the Chaos Chamber, as you can limit yourself to the Armor one.
Deathless Mantle’s Stats and Effects¶
The Deathless Mantle makes it so your health is always set to 1 HP, but you will get 150% returned as Ward Capacity. Your Ward Regeneration Delay is also reduced by 50%. It should be noted that your max health is actually still set at the normal amount, but your current health is what’s stuck at 1. This Armor may seem like a bad idea, especially if you’re fighting enemies that rip through your Ward easily, but there are some builds that benefit from this. For example, there is one Legendary Ring (the Fingertip Pulse Oximeter) that has its effects increased by 50% whenever your health is below 50%.
