Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Best Starting Stats for Spellshot

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Whenever you create a new character in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, you will be able to distribute a total of ten extra Hero Points to your stats. In addition to that, you will gain another Hero Point each time you level up. This page will detail the important stats for the Spellshot class.

As its name suggests, the Spellshot class is more focused on slinging spells at enemies over anything else. When you unlock the second Action Skill for Spellshots at level 7, equip it and you will be able to use a second spell mapped to the normal Action Skill button. Because of the focus on Spells, you should worry about increasing the stats that pertain to using and abusing them.

Best Stats for Spellshot

#1 - Intelligence

Intelligence increases the cooldown for your spells. That makes this vitally important for Spellshots, as slinging two spells will probably be your primary way of dealing damage to enemies. You will probably want to focus on this stat for a good portion of the early game, before switching over to other stats from then.

#2 - Dexterity

Dexterity increases the Critical Hit Chance for everything you do in the game. This goes hand-in-hand with the Strength stat, since if you’re building up the chance to critically hit enemies, then you will want to make sure you trigger those critical hits. The in-game menu does mention this as one of the important stats for Spellshots.

#3 - Strength

Strength increases the Critical Hit Damage you deal to enemies. If you want to build around critically hitting enemies, then you will always want to put points into Strength. This also holds true for the Village Idiot Backstory, as that will give you a total of eight more points into Strength, at a cost of only removing three Intelligence (another important stat for Spellshots).

#4 - Constitution

Constitution increases the character’s Maximum Health and Ward (the shield). Unless you want to go with a glass cannon build, this stat is pretty much important to all classes in the game. If you want survivability, put a point into this every few levels, even moreso after focusing on Intelligence in the first part of the game.

Other Stats

Wisdom

Wisdom increases the damage from status effects and elements. While it’s true that there is a lot of elemental spells in the game, this might not be the best stat to focus on with the Spellshot class. However, it might be a good idea to pump a Hero Point or two into this down the line, especially if you’re going for an elemental build. Otherwise, you can probably ignore this stat for the most part.

Attunement

Attunement increases the cooldown for your Action Skills. Since you will likely be primarily using spells with the Spellshot, there is really no need to worry about this stat at all. The second Action Skill will make that slot replaced with a spell, which functions like the normal spell slot.
