One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Calamity.

Where to Find the Calamity¶

The Calamity can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. Outside of that, you can also get it as a dedicated drop from Oculus, the miniboss that spawns from the Ancient Obelisk in Sunfang Oasis. This area is completely optional and found after scaling Karnok’s Wall in the main story. Additionally, if you want to make things a little easier on yourself, head to the Chaos Chamber and farm the loot bunnies at the end (the Armor one) for an easier chance at this item.

Calamity’s Stats and Effects¶

The Calamity increases Fire Damage by +10% for each unique enemy hit for a brief period. This effect stacks up to 10 times. If you have a Fire build, then this can be a great Armor for that character, as you will gain some great damage while fighting enemies. This can even help during some boss battles that have a lot of additional fodder enemies. Of course, if you don’t use a build with fire damage, then this Armor isn’t really going to do much for you.
