One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Claw.

Where to Find the Claw¶

The Claw can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. Outside of that, you can also get it as a dedicated drop from the Obsidian Wyvern, the miniboss you face at the Ancient Obelisk in Tangledrift. In order to gain access to this area, you will need to log the sidequest, Walk the Stalk. Additionally, if you want to make things a little easier on yourself, head to the Chaos Chamber and farm the loot bunnies at the end (the Armor one) for an easier chance at this item.

Claw’s Stats and Effects¶

The Claw makes it so all Companion Damage is converted into a specific element damage. Enemies damaged by your Companions will take 20% increased damage from that specific element above for six seconds. Depending on the build you have, this can be a fantastic armor for that character. For example, if you’re running a companion Spore Warden/Graveborn build, then having a Claw that is focused on Dark Magic Damage will make things a lot more beneficial. The Claw has the potential to be one of the better armors in the game, simply because of how powerful some of the companions can be.
