Vasuki can be one of the more troublesome bosses in the game, since he has the ability to inflict any of the ailments on you. As such, it can be difficult to prepare for him, although it is important to remember that any character can only have a single ailment at a time. Should you have the Lachesis Essence, it is a good idea to toss that on the Nahobino, since it can resist (not immune) all ailments. You should try to get demons in your party that are at least immune to one of the ailments, but you should try to not have anyone weak to any of them, if you can help it. The two biggest ailments are Charm and Poison, as Vasuki has skills that deal more damage to you should they have those ailments.

When picking your team, you will want to choose demons that have some protection against ailments, but you also want to make sure they have access to Fire attacks, as Vasuki is weak to that element. He also has access to an Ice skill, but Vasuki will only use this whenever he charges Magatsuhi, so you can simply bring some Ice Dampeners to block it. Of course, with Vasuki having four actions per round, he will still be able to get more turns after a Magatsuhi charge, so you may need to think outside the box. Forgoing Ice Dampeners, it might be a better option to have at least neutral resistance to Ice and one character either absorb or repel it. The reason for this is because absorbing/repelling an element forces the attacking enemy to forfeit all of their turns, over just losing two with blocking it.

Toxic Spray is one of the more annoying skills to see, since not only does it potentially Poison someone, but it will also lower their defense. Likewise, Frenzied Chomp is a Physical attack that has the possibility of inflict either Poison, Confusion or Charm. Makajamon can inflict Seal on everyone, Slumber Vortex does both Sleep and Mirage, and Sexy Dance can inflict Charm. Should you get Poisoned or Charmed, Vasuki can follow up with Hysterical Slap or Venom Chaser to deal more damage to those party members, so those should be healed as soon as possible. In fact, having a healthy supply of Amrita Sodas/Showers is recommended, as well as Me Patra on someone.

At this point in the game, since you can purchase elemental gems, it’s a wise idea to specialize demons in a certain aspect. For example, you should have someone specialized in support, with maybe one demon focused on buffs and another on debuffs. Since you can use Fire Shards/Gems to easily get extra turns on those demons, they can use their others turns debuff the boss/buffing your team. At this stage of the game, having Luster Candy for buffs could be something you have access to, while using Debilitate on the enemy is ideal. If you don’t have those yet, then focus on Sukunda/Masukukaja, as making Vasuki miss with his ailments/attacks will make things a lot easier on your end.
