Shin Megami Tensei V

One Mokoi's Trash...

By
Jarrod Garripoli

One Mokoi’s Trash… is a Subquest in Shin Megami Tensei V. Most Subquests will reward you with a large amount of experience, some Macca, and then you’ll receive an item of sorts. Most of the time, it’ll be a Talisman which allows you to have access to the different Magatsuhi skills in the game.

Mokoi wants you to find three specific items for him

Recommended Level Location Rewards
46+ Mokoi; Just past the Abscess in Nihonbashi Kaiwan’s Essence

Retrieve the three items for Mokoi.

Where to start One Mokoi’s Trash

As you make your way through the Chiyoda region, you will have to pass through the Nihonbashi area, where you will find an Abscess on the main path. Upon destroying that Abscess, you will pass through a ruined building and it is inside that building where you will find the Mokoi. He wants you to find three specific items for him, all of which are special, unique items only available for this quest. Those three items are:

  • Vintage Guitar
  • Model Kit
  • TV Game System

Where to find the Vintage Guitar for One Mokoi’s Trash

The Vintage Guiar item is the first one you will find, which is located in the Awajicho area of Chiyoda. Start out at the Nihonbashi Leyline and cross the building down the little hill, then follow the path to the area with Fionn mac Cumhaill, who is an NPC here. There is a sloped building right next to him, leading down into the bottom area. At the bottom of the sloped building, venture northwest, until you hit a wall at the end, then look to the northeast for another path. At the end of this path will be the item pickup, netting you the Gibbon Guitar.

Where to find the Model Kit for One Mokoi’s Trash

You will find this one past the Akihabara Leyline. If you’ve cleared this area of the Abscesses, head back to where you fought the first one, near the train tracks. Look over the edge, to the north, where you should see a Miman below you. Follow this path, going downward, until you see some Orthrus demons running around. You will find the sparkling spot near a building nearby, which is the Large Model Kit.

Where to find the TV Game System for One Mokoi’s Trash

After collecting the previous item, continue following the path to a split, where you will go southwest to the Jikokuten Punishing Foe. Ignore it and drop into the pit next to him, where you should go southwest, until you reach a Jack-o’-Lantern NPC. There will an opening behind him, so go in there and look for the one dead end to find the TV-Game Combination item.

Once you have all three items, return them to Mokoi to finish the quest and receive your reward.

Recommended Party

Since you only have to find three specific items for this quest, there is no need to do any battling. You will have to defeat a boss, though, in order to reach the area with the second two items, which is why the recommended level is set at level 46+ for the quest.
