Sunken Hollow, the second area you will encounter in the game, is a land beneath the ground and away from the reaches of the sun. When the volcano it is nestled in fires up, it becomes bathed in lava and is the perfect mine for the residents of Harth. Cool, dry, and comfortable, Sunken Hollow is overflowing with rich pools of water, enormous caverns full of ores, and an abundant amount of fungi.

Other Areas of Interest
Area 2 is the fishing spot of this area.
Area 3 is where you can find Sootstone Ores. They are very fragile and carry like eggs.
Area 8 is where you can find an abandoned Herbivore Egg nest. Look for the small indentation in the ground to the right on the lowest level.
Area 9 is where the majority of monsters will travel to for a quick nap. The other area is Area 7 , mostly for Bird Wyverns. Mammals will prefer sleeping in Area 2.
Area 10 is Felyne Village, so your Palicos await you there.
