Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Najarala

By
Vincent Lau

Part of the new Snake Wyvern class, Najarala uses its lengthy, sinuous body to perform agile, swift coiling attacks and charges. Najarala also possesses odd sounders as its head frills which can create sonic waves that will freeze any hunter in place. The scales on Najarala’s tail are easily detached and can be flung into the ground, then exploded using sonic waves.

Attacks

Tail Fling: Najarala will flick you with its tail. Sometimes it will also flick out three scales, which will lead into the attack below.

Sonic Burst: Najarala will vibrate its sounders very rapidly, creating a sonic blast that will explode the scales. If you are hit by them, you will automatically be stunned.

Fanged Charge: Najarala will charge forward with the first half of its body and attempt to use its fangs to bore you into the ground. If it misses, its fangs will be stuck in the ground for a few seconds while it tries to pull itself free.

Constricting Ambush: This is the most dangerous attack in Najarala’s arsenal. Najarala will begin wrapping around you, and then dig under the ground and send you flying from below. When Najarala periodically stops coiling, aim for the small gap between its tail and body to escape. If you use the Insect Glaive, pole vault over the body.

Burrowing Attack: Najarala can burrow through the ground and will sometimes hide under the ground for extended periods of time, then ambush you from below.

Slithering Rush: Najarala will slither very quickly towards you. Because of its coils, it can be hard to tell what it is doing, but as soon as you figure out its striking direction, run away. After the attack, Najarala will resume its usual position of coiled rest.

Constricting Pin: Najarala can pin you and will then squeeze and coil you like an anaconda. Use a Dung Bomb to free yourself.

Breakable Parts

Beak: The beak will have a scar.

Sounders: Najarala’s sounders are broken by successfully mounting and toppling twice. The tips will be broken off.

Tail: The ends of the large tail scales will be broken off.

Hind Legs: A scar will appear. Each leg can be broken once.

Weaknesses

Elemental: Ice

Status: Blast
