Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Tigrex

By
Vincent Lau

Combine a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a tiger, and a dragon that knows only BURNING, INFURIATING RAGE and what do you get? The Tigrex! Tigrex is the bane of even the most experienced hunters. Its attacks are ruthless, its speed is like lightning, and it is more than comfortable doing an all-out beatdown on any hunter unfortunate enough to engage one. Tigrex also has no sense of indoor voice and has an explosively loud roar. Don’t keep one as a pet.

Attacks

Ruthless Charge: This is Tigrex’s signature attack and shows just how much hate and rage it has. It will charge at you, then turn around, and do it up to three times. Just when you thought you were safe, oh no, Tigrex will turn around and try again!

Double Bite: Tigrex will lean forward and bite to the left and right. This is one of its weaker attacks.

360 Spin : Tigrex will wind up, then spin in a rapid circle, sending you flying or catching you with its long tail. As it spins, it move slightly forward, making it an odd attack to dodge. If you see it coming, run away from it in a perpendicular line so that you can get as far as possible.

Forward Chomp: Tigrex will lean back, then chomp forward. Oddly enough, if you are by the legs, you will still get hit.

Pounce : Tigrex will do a flailing jump and then land on you. It can happen very fast and seemingly from nowhere.

Deafening Roar: Tigrex can only perform this attack when enraged. It will roar a roar so loud that if you are too close and do not have earplugs, you will get send flying back and you will take moderate damage. High-Grade Earplugs will nullify this attack entirely.

Boulder Hurl: Tigrex will dig its forearm talons into the ground, the fling three rocks at you in a spread shot.
