Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Your Item Box

By
Vincent Lau

You can change equipment here only!!

There is another item box in most every village, but this item box is special. This item box will let you not only access your items, but also your equipment (armor and weapons). And you can also change your appearance.

Decide that you don’t really like your hairdo? Change it! Want to change the color of your armor? Change it! Before a quest, make it a habit to use this item box because you can pick items and equipment all in one go.

Let’s go over each menu option in detail so you know exactly what to expect:

Store Items: Pretty self-explanatory. Deposit items from your bag. Note that you cannot deposit individual items, you will only deposit whole stacks.

Take Items: This time you can take out individual items. Use the up or down buttons on your d-pad to take out specific quantities at once!

Item Sets: Tired of having to rehaul your bag every time you do a quest? If you have a specific item configuration you use for specific quests or monsters, use this so that with the click of a button, poof! All of your favorite items and you didn’t have to labor through your item box again!

Combine/Manage Items: From here you can combine items. Combining is a unique way to obtain many items, some of which are only obtainable via combining.

For example, you can buy Potions, but if you combine them with Honey , you will get the special combine-only item Mega Potion , a staple once you reach the higher ranks.

The easiest way is to combine through the Combo List. You can also Arrange items in your box in a specific way (if you just want the set organzation provided by the game, press X to sort your item box in one go). And you can sell things.

Manage Equipment: This is special to your home caravan’s item box. Switch your weapon and armor. Incredibly important!

Equipment Sets: Similar to item sets, but will probably see much more use. If you have multiple armor sets with specific, specialized skills and configurations, register them here and swap equipment with one button press instead of twenty.

Change Appearance: Not looking fabulous enough to charm any monster you see? You can fix that here!
