Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Rhenoplos

By
Vincent Lau

Rhenoplos are herbivores with a very aggressive demeanor, in contrast to most of the other herbivores in Monster Hunter. They will attack anything and everything on sight, and if they are attacked, you are the target. With their charge-happy antics, it’s best to clear them out so you don’t get sent flying.

Areas: Ancestral Steppe, Sunken Hollow, Volcanic Hollow, Dunes

Attacks

Belly Flop: Rhenoplos when close to you will shift the entirety of their weight forward to flop on top of you.

Running Charge: This is the reason Rhenoplos are so infamously annoying. This attack will not deal much damage, but it will send you flying backwards . If you are fighting a large monster and this happens to you, it can be incredibly annoying—even deadly.

Important Notes

Rhenoplos’s head is a great deal harder than the rest of its body and most weapons of lower sharpness will bounce.
