An odd runeword, Treachery seems designed for a melee Assassin build, giving +2 to Assassin Skills and +45% Increased Attack Speed, among other useful modifiers. The most interesting property this armor has, however, is its “5% Chance to cast level 15 Fade when struck”, which, if it procs, will give the wearer the following buffs: 79% curse duration reduction, +60% all resistances, 15% damage reduction - all of which will last for a whopping 300 seconds. This makes the armor useful for all characters, and it’s often used as mercenary armor. While it’s generally not considered quite as good as [Fortitude], Treachery is far, far cheaper, requiring the runes Shael + Thul + Lem, none of which are terribly hard to acquire.
To craft this runeword, you’ll need a 3-socket suit of armor (preferably elite and ethereal, if intended for a mercenary) and the runes Shael + Thul + Lem.
