Guillaume’s Face is part of the Orphan’s Call set, a set with dubious partial/complete set bonuses. Just as well, as the individual parts of the set are usually somewhat interesting in their own right, reducing whatever compulsion there may have been to complete the set. Guillaume’s Face is a good example, possessing the modifier “35% Chance of Crushing Blow”, which is otherwise rare (especially on helmets), and useful for any character directly dealing damage with a weapon.

Crushing Blow has a chance (cumulative between all sources of Crushing Blow) to reduce a targets Life by a percentage of their current Life total. Most noteworthy, when Crushing Blow procs it’ll deal 12.5% damage for Champions/Uniques/Bosses (the effectiveness of Crushing Blow is halved for ranged weapons - 6.25% damage to Champions/Uniques/Bosses), and given that bosses in Hell difficulty can have hundreds of thousands of Life, Crushing Blow can deal a massive amount of damage. Since Guillaume’s Face gives such a high amount of Crushing Blow, it can contribute to a character’s damage output far more than that it might seem, especially when worn by a character with a fast attack speed.
