Assassin's Creed: Origins

Rebel Strike

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 25

It may have been a while - unless you’re skipping around - but now it’s time to find Theodoros and help him gain the vengeance he seeks. You’ll find his allies camped between Soknopaiou Nesos (to the east) and Pannouki Hideout (to the northwest). Talk to the rebels and you’ll rest and prepare while you wait for Theodoros. When he arrives, he’ll tell Bayek his story, and it’s certainly something Bayek can relate to.

After his story is over, a trireme will beach, which apparently is what Theodoros was waiting for, and they’ll charge off to the Beached Trireme Camp to the southwest. If you stay close to Theodoros and his men, you can discard stealth as an option, but if you keep your distance from them and circle around to, say, the northern end of the camp (where some convient cliffs make for a fine perch) Theodoros and his men may be content to wait outside the camp to the east. If you get near them, they will proceed with their assault however, and there’s nothing wrong with going in swords swinging, if that’s your thing.

On the other hand, there are quite a few soldiers (levels 25-26), including Derratos (level 26), who has a quest marker, but otherwise isn’t indicated as anything special. Being an enemy camp, there’s also a captain (level 27). A half-and-half strategy might be ideal, and if you descend from the cliffs north of the camp to the western edge of camp, you can probably eliminate around half the guards without raising a fuss. Just be wary of enemy triremes which dock here from time to time, as they could reinforce the garrison here.

Defeat the enemies and Theodoros will claim his revenge. Fortunately for him, he’s only got one name on his list. Before you leave, search the tent on the beached trireme that gives the location its name to find a red chest. Assuming the captain was killed in the melee earlier, this should complete this area’s location objectives.

Reward: For completing the Beached Trireme Camp
600 XP
Reward: For completing the quest “Rebel Strike”
2,250 XP

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
