Assassin's Creed: Origins

Abuse of Power

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 17

While you’re taking a break from the Sefetu quests - or at least the Informant Table quests involving him - why not clear up this quest on the outskirts of Sais? Okay, okay, full disclosure, this quest is here for one reason: it’s almost identical to the quest “ The Ostrich “. Return to Sais and make your way east to a farm just beyond (east of) the brewery grounds to find a farmer kneeling, alternately trying to buy some time from some nearby soldiers and solicit your help.

Talk to him and he’ll ask you to load some crops onto a cart for him. Hardly worthy labor for a Medjay, but seeing a suffering child put to work before his years moves Bayek’s heart. Before any work is done, however, Bayek will question the necessity of the back-breaking labor to find out that it’s the demands of tax collectors that are motivating the farmer… and the fear of having his house burned down.

Pick up the three marked bundles of wheat and move them onto the nearby cart, then deploy Senu and scan for this tax collector… and you know how Bayek deals with tax collectors. Once you find him, head into Sais where he performs his rounds. The tax collector (level 17) is a heavy blunt-weilding warrior, and is joined by two spearmen (level 17). You shouldn’t need much in the way of strategy to deal with three normal enemies, just pick them off with archery from afar, assassinate one to start the fight out right, whatever edge you need. Then they’re dead, the quest will end.

Reward: For completing the quest “Abuse of Power”
1,500 XP

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
