Chapter 11 - Retreat

By
Jessica Dillon

Once you finish Chapter 10, you will immediately be hurried into Chapter 11 with no chance to go home to Somniel. At first, the chapter seems quite overwhelming as your army just had a massive downgrade to it. With the right units and strategy, Chapter 11 is an easy one to complete in Fire Emblem Engage. The guide below goes over the easiest way to get "Alear" iconAlear and her friends to safety in the game.

How to Reach Retreat

Retreat is a chapter that you are immediately pushed into after completing Chapter 10. Keep in mind that if you have DLC Emblems, you will still be able to use them on this map, giving you the upper hand.

Chapter 11 - Retreat Walkthrough

The goal of this chapter is to get Alear to the bottom of the map and place her on one of the two exit blocks that are guarded by enemies. There are a few key things that you should note, you can’t use the Draconic Time Crystal for the first part of this battle, and you can’t change out from the units you used in Chapter 10.

This isn’t going to be much of a problem, though, as you simply need to move Alear down the map and surround her with other units to protect her. If you used "Alcryst" iconAlcryst and "Etie" iconEtie in the previous battle, then they can be used to easily pick off enemies. In addition, calvary units like "Louis" iconLouis that move fast can easily take out future enemies or stay in front of Alear. Even after the Hounds join the battle, you have nothing to fear as they likely won’t catch up to you.

Don’t be afraid of the Emblem users or the units that are coming in from behind you as long as you keep moving forward. The rear units will never reach you. You should note that when an Emblem user is defeated on the next enemy phase, the Emblem Ring will be given to another enemy on the map to use.

In addition, the map’s Emblem users are weak and can easily be taken out by effective units in one turn. Once you get to the end of the map, you will get two Emblem Rings from "Ivy" iconIvy. In addition, Ivy, "Zelkov" iconZelkov, and "Kagetsu" iconKagetsu will join you in the fight

Alear will now be able to Engage with "Lucina" iconLucina, and Ivy will be able to Engage with "Lyn" iconLyn. Engage with the two new Emblems and use your new units to take out the remaining enemies and clear the path for Alear to reach the exit of the map.

All Treasure in Retreat

There are no items to get in Chapter 11, as this is a mission more focused on progressing the story and the struggles of Alear and her army.
