Fire Emblem Engage

Is There A Fire Emblem Engage Pre Order Bonus?

By
Jacob Woodward

There’s no mistaking that Fire Emblem has developed an even stronger fan base thanks to the releases on the Nintendo Switch and now, with Engage, many are looking to pre order it to guarantee that day one experience.

However, if you’re wondering whether you should pre purchase for a Fire Emblem Engage pre order bonus or whether to wait until launch day, this guide will tell you if there are any extras for snapping it up ahead of release.

What Are The Fire Emblem Engage Pre Order Bonuses?

There are two Fire Emblem Engage editions - the standard edition, which includes the game only, as well as the Divine Edition which has some added extras that fans of the franchise will certainly enjoy. But, the question on many a player’s lips is if either of these editions offer a pre order bonus either digital or physical to go alongside them.

The short answer is yes, there are in fact pre order bonuses for Fire Emblem Engage, but the tricky part is that these differ from retailer to retailer.

In the US, if you pre order from GameStop, you will receive a Tarot Card Deck, but if you pre order via the My Nintendo Store UK, you will receive a gold pin and large A2 poster.

Again in the UK, if you pre order from retailer GAME, you will get the aforementioned gold pin and large A2 poster, but Amazon UK are doing things differently with a themed microfibre cloth.

Unfortunately, we’re sad to report that there is not an in-game Fire Emblem pre order bonus for either the standard edition or the Divine Edition. This is a little puzzling at this day in age considering most titles do offer some form of in-game pre order bonus, and with the fact that Fire Emblem Engage has character costumes, a simple pre order cosmetic would make sense.

On the flip side though, this is a positive for those that are not a fan of pre ordering games, or simply can’t afford Fire Emblem Engage before it releases as you won’t be missing out on any additional in-game content no matter when you decide to take the plunge.
