Boss Battle: Bahamut¶
Bahumat is Oerba Yun Fang’s Eidolon, and is fought in the Fifth Ark by Fang, Lightning, and Vanille, as a test to prove Fang’s strength and resilience as a l’Cie.
When the battle begins, restart it. Upon the second try, the main menu will be brought up, so create the Paradigms outlined on the previous page. At the start of battle, wait until Fang and Vanille stick Slow, Imperil and Deshell on Bahamut. It likes to swipe twice, then lift your characters in the air, then slam his hands together and finish by burning you up when on the ground. When you’re hurt, switch to setup , and when everyone is doing well, use setup for attacking. Before long the Gestalt gauge will be filled - press Square and you will win.
You’ll obtain the Bahamut Eidolith Key Item after the battle. Fang’s ATB gauge will increase by one segment, bringing her total to 4 (or 5, if you already bought the ATB node at the Crystarium).
