You’ll come across many locked doors requiring different keys in Atomfall, and if you’re following the most obvious route early on, you’ll find yourself at The Interchange via the Slatten Dale entrance. As you explore the early parts of the area, you’ll happen upon the Site Office which, as you may expect is locked. It will be some time before you can get your hands on the key though, so keep reading to learn where it is and what you can expect to find inside.

The Site Office Key is needed to get inside a locked door in the Interchange in Atomfall.

Where to Find the Site Office Key

As mentioned at the top, you’ll likely run into the locked Site Office early in your adventure, it can be found at The Interchange when entering from Slatten Dale, it’s hard to miss and you’ll spot a body slumped up against the wall near the door. When you search this body, however, you’ll spot a note that informs you that the key can be found in Robotics, which happens to be below where you are, but with no simple way to gain access.

Now, before you continue, you’re going to need to get your hands on the Signal Redirector, and the easiest way to do this is to give Simms in "Wyndham Village" iconWyndham Village’s Town Hall a lead so that he trusts you, then mention you want to see Dr. Garrows, giving you access to the prison in Skethermoor while his guards remain neutral. You can then head inside, make your way down to the lowest levels, and check on a shelf in Security for the Redirector.

With the Redirector in hand, your next step is to head to Robotics, which can be accessed by restoring power to Data Store Delta in the Interchange (best accessed from the Slatten Dale entrance). Once inside, head into the main hallway and take the door on your right and pull the first lever to your right, this will cause a body to drop that you can loot for the "Storage Room Key" iconStorage Room Key. Take this up the stairs, into the Storage room, and use a "Radiation Resistance" iconRadiation Resistance potion before going into the room and searching the B.A.R.D crate to score the "Control Room Keycard" iconControl Room Keycard.

(1 of 5) Make your way to Robotics via Data Store Delta.

With this in hand, go back to the main hallway and take the door on the opposite side to reach the canteen, then go through the other side to find some stairs leading up. You’ll find the Control Room up here and you should already have the keycard on you, go inside and interact with the console to restore some power to this level. There will now be a robot patrolling the main hall, you’ll want to deal with this, so wait for it to turn around, shoot it in the back, and then run behind it to eject the "Atomic Battery" iconAtomic Battery. You can now turn your gaze toward the door to the lower part of Robotics which unfortunately has no power.

While facing the door, look to the room on your left to find it locked but if you look carefully, you can use the "Signal Redirector" iconSignal Redirector through the window to open the door for you. Go inside and you’ll find the Wing Power Control lever you can use to provide power to one side of the door.

Head over to the opposite door and run up to the window near the locked door to use the Signal Redirector again. Go into the door now to find the second Wing Power Control lever you should flip. Go back into the previous room and climb the crates in the corner, then look on the wall to find another junction box to use the Signal Redirector on, this will provide power to the right side of the door.

(1 of 4) Go to the window on the left and use the Signal Redirector to open the door and access the first lever.

Finally, go to where the door is and you’ll notice the area around it is electrified due to the cable in the water. Use the boxes to reach the junction box to the left of the door and activate it to reroute it to the door, now do the same for the junction box on the right and you’ll finally have access to the lower wing.

Slide down to the lift, then drop down the hole to safely reach the bottom and climb up the ledge at the end. Look up at the western wall here to find a junction box you can activate, this will open the shutter on your right which is where you want to go for the purpose of this key (the other way leads to Dr Garrow’s Research Notes). Be careful of the turret here (use the junction box to disable it) and then go down the eastern tunnel (you should see a sign overhead indicating this is the way to the Interchange), eventually you’ll find a door back into the Interchange.

As you head up to the main room, you’ll spot some Ferals, equip a strong weapon and deal with them so you can explore the area in peace (although be wary of the turret at the top). You should find a body down here, examine it and you’ll finally get your hands on the "Site Office Key" iconSite Office Key, phew!

(1 of 4) Head down the tunnel and back into the Interchange.

Using the Site Office Key

Despite all of that running around to get hold of the Site Office Key, you are now in the perfect place to make use of it. You should see some stairs nearby, take them up and the ladder that follows while avoiding the turret, at the top, you should be able to unbar the door and find the Site Office directly in front of you.

Once inside, you’ll find the usual typical resources, along with a case on one of the desks that contains a "Training Stimulant" iconTraining Stimulant and a possible Recipe (for us, it was the recipe for the very useful "Combat Stim" iconCombat Stim). Before you leave the office, check the board on the wall to find and read the “A Sea Change at Seascale?” note.
