Treasure being hidden behind a waterfall is such a common gaming trope that it’s stopped being annoying and wrapped all the way back around to welcome, cherished and expected. Atomfall doesn’t disappoint, hiding a cache of goodies behind a waterfall in Slatten Dale. This page will cover how to find the Convoy Wreckage and get the treasure from the nearby waterfall cave!
Page Breakdown¶
Convoy Wreckage Location¶
If you barter with Molly at the Trader Camp along the northern edge of Slatten Dale she’ll be inclined to gossip and tell you about a convoy that was attacked recently. This wil start the lead Convoy Five and mark the Convoy Wreckage on the map, which is located in the northwestern corner of Slatten Dale, a fair walk southwest from the Trader Camp Molly occupies. This should naturally spark your curiosity - anything from outside has the potential to be valuable, especially if it was brought in via a military convoy. She also mentions that a member of the convoy survived and was headed to the Railyard, and if you search a building along the road there by crawling under a shutter door you can find the note Orders from Agravaine to start the lead [Infiltrators - Orders from Agravaine]. All well and good, but it’s also worth checking out this convoy.

Search the Convoy Wreckage¶
After you Molly talking, her gossip will get you the lead Convoy Five and the Convoy Wreckage will be marked on the map. Make your way southwest from the Trader Camp to find the Convoy Wreckage - look for a destroyed stone bridge, it’s remains looming over the rest of the valley, and you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Pass under the ruins of this bridge and you’ll start seeing ruins of the convoy lying about in the form of blasted, wrecked trucks. You’ll find the odd bit of loot lying about, but with few exceptions, nothing exceptional. If you follow a stream west you’ll find a waterfall, but before you go poking about there, head south from the stream to find an arrow-riddled corpse lying against a slope - likely a landslide caused by the dynamite that destroyed the convoy. Loot the corpse to find the note Order: Find the Interchange, which starts the lead Interchange: Slatten Dale Entrance along with several Arrows and a First Aid Kit. Aside from the wrecked convoy itself, the arrows are the only evidence left by the Druids who were supposedly behind this ambush.

Find the Survivor¶
That said, you probably won’t be alone for long, as looting the corpse seems to trigger some Outlaws to show up and start searching the area. They won’t come too far west and you’ve plenty of room to sneak back past them, if need be, but they will poke about some of the wreckage, making a nuisance of themselves. Look for some pools of blood north of the arrow-riddled soldier and you’ll see splatters running from a flipped over truck to the east towards the stream to the west. Follow the blood west, north, then west and it’ll lead towards the waterfall we pointed out earlier.
(1 of 4) North of the arrow-filled corpse you’ll find some blood,
Pass through the waterfall and you’ll find a cave, and a few steps in you’ll find more blood leading deeper into said cave. Follow it up a ledge and around a corner to find a chamber where a fire is burning, which indicates how recent this convoy attack must have been. Alas, whatever the time of the attack, it was too long for the bleeding soldier we followed here, as you’ll find him lying down near the fire, quite dead. Loot him to find the Lion Annual 1962, the note Masks, a Bandage, a Grenade, and some materials, then search a crate to the northeast to find a Stengun Mk.2 as well as some ammo and materials. The Stengun will probably be the first serious weapon you find, an SMG that’s quite capable of perforating enemies, once you find some ammo for it, anyways.
Turns out there really was only one survivor, as Molly reported - presumably this Agravaine character who left the letter at the Railyard. While another soldier survived the immediate destruction of the convoy, they never made it east where Molly could spot them, and instead perished in the cave behind the waterfall.
I went to the crate behind the waterfall here and did not find the Stengun Mk.2 in the chest. In it, I found meat, burn salve, and some rifle ammo.
