No matter how you progress through Atomfall and plan your escape, all roads lead to Oberon. What you do there will vary based on who’s lead you’re following, but the first, and most important, piece of the plan is to fully restore power to the Central Processing Unit at the Interchange to open the route to it, something that will most likely span the majority of your playthrough. Keep reading to learn how you can go about restoring power to Oberon.
You’ll need to provide power to the Oberon wing in Atomfall to kickstart the ending.

Restoring the Data Stores¶
The first step, as soon as you get to the Interchange for the first time, is to restore power to all four Data Stores. This requires a few things that you’ll need to do first:
- Find all four entrances to the Interchange to access Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta
- Collect five Atomic Batteries to power each Data Store and the Central Processing Unit itself
- Get your hands on the Signal Redirector
Finding the entrances are easy enough, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting inside each once you know where they are on their respective maps. Getting the Atomic Batteries will, however, require more time and effort, but for the sake of powering up Oberon, we’d consider these sources for the five batteries needed:
- Found at the Central Processing Unit itself, this one’s a freebie
- Purchase from Trader Molly in Slatten Dale, at 26.3E, 79.0N (Map Marker)
- Purchase from Nora in Skethermoor (Map Marker)
- While still at Nora’s place, in the back of a robot in the pond northwest of her location (Map Marker)
- Disabling any Robot by shooting them in the back until they drop, then going behind and extracting the battery. You’ll find plenty in the Skethermoor region
You will need to use Atomic Batteries at each of the Data Stores to provide power to the facility.
Finally, you’ll need to get your hands on the Signal Redirector, this can be either a lengthy process, or a quick one, depending on how you go about it. The quickest route, however, is to get on Simms’s good side (found at
Wyndham Village’s Town Hall) by informing him about the murder in the church. This will grant you access to Skethermoor prison where Dr. Garrows is being held. Now, simply stroll up to the prison (Map Marker), make your way down to the lowest level and look for the Security room, inside you’ll find the redirector on the shelf.
Once you have your batteries, head to each Data Store and place one in the console there to power the sector, all of these are relatively simple and hard to miss, save for Data Store Alpha. You’ll need to brave Infection Spores here, so having Infection Resistance will help a great deal.
Powering up the Central Processing Unit¶
Now that all five Data Stores are back online, the only thing remaining is to reroute all of that power to Central Processing Unit, doing so will open the way to Oberon’s chamber where Atomfall’s conclusion will play out. As mentioned above, you must have the Signal Redirector before you go any further, this cannot be done without.

Now, once you return to the Central Processing Unit, you may notice that the redirector indicator is flashing, this should clue you in that you need to use it. Usually, you need to look up on the walls or the ceiling to find junction boxes for the Signal Redirector, but this time, you need to turn your attention to the ground. You’ll find a junction box near each of the doors and altering them will send the power directly to the Central Processing Unit, powering it up in the process.
This is a good point to make a hard save and leave it there, proceeding through the hallway to Oberon kicks off the end of your adventure so you may want to return to this save if you’re not strong enough, don’t have enough resources, or want to pursue a different ending.
