Joyce Tanner is on a mission to reactivate all of the Radio Towers in an attempt to get a working antenna to get messages out of the quarantine zone. This is one of the more involved Leads in Atomfall and, as such, requires you to pay a visit to three of the game’s four main areas and find the keycards needed to activate each one. Keep reading to learn how to reactivate the Skethermoor Radio Tower by paying a short visit to a nearby bunker.

The Skethermoor Radio Tower in Atomfall needs to be reactivated for Joyce Tanner’s Lead.

Skethermoor Radio Tower Location

After you’ve had your first meeting with Joyce Tanner in the Interchange for the first time (either by finding her at the Bunker in Casterfell Woods first, or after leaving Medical/Robotics for the first time), she’ll task you with finding and reactivating three Radio Towers, situated in Casterfell Woods, Slatten Dale, and Skethermoor. For the purpose of this walkthrough, you’re looking to make a trip to Skethermoor to find the Radio Tower there.

If you’ve not had much dealings with the Protocol yet, then Skethermoor may be the one area you’ve yet to visit, if so, head into Wyndham Village and take the southeast exit to enter Skethermoor. A word of warning, however, Skethermoor appears to be one of the more hostile areas in Atomfall, especially the various military bases. You’ll find the Skethermoor Radio Tower around the southeast of the map at 43.1E, 73.6N. Reaching this without alerting the military bases can be tricky though, so consider taking the route up across to the north (ignoring the center) and then down south once you reach the east side of the map.

The Skethermoor Radio Tower can be found to the south of the Greenhouses.

On the one hand, you won’t have to deal with any enemies at or around the Radio Tower itself, you can simply stroll up to the door and open it. On the other, you’re going to need a keycard to reactivate it, fortunately, where you need to go is very close to your location as the note refers to. Simply go back north a little to where the Greenhouses are and you’ll find an entrance to the Vehicle Storage Bunker.

Skethermoor Radio Tower Keycard Location

Once you enter the Bunker, you’ll find a Pneumatic Dispenser that you can make use of, and then you have a decision to make here. If you have enough resources (and especially a Bow with plenty of Arrows), it’s well worth just taking out the enemies, where you enter the Bunker from, you have the high ground and you can easily duck back into the entrance way for some cover if needed. Still, there are a lot of Outlaws in this Bunker, so if you don’t have the resources for it, stealth may be the better play, even if it’s a tougher way around it.

Once the area is clear of enemies (there may be a few stragglers here and there), head over to one of the doors along the northern wall and follow it through to a room with a body and some Rats to take care of (there may well be a Recipe to snag here too, along with a B.A.R.D crate on the shelf!). Over on the wall here, you’ll spot a hole you can climb through, do so and follow the path up to the control room.

(1 of 4) Consider using the cover you have to take out all of the enemies here.

Go up the stairs in this room and look on the tables in the center, you’ll find the Skethermoor Radio Tower Keycard you’ve been searching for, along with a Training Stimulant. Before you leave the Vehicle Storage Bunker, you may want to find the Storeroom Key and loot it, there’s an Atomic Battery to be had. Once you’re ready, leave the Bunker, go back to the Radio Tower and use the keycard to reactivate it, completing another of Joyce Tanner’s tasks in the process.
