Talk to the mountain custodian¶

After appreciating the amazing vista, you need to find a way to climb the mountain to reach the endangered Napdragon.

There’s one person who might know of a way: the mountain custodian, also known as the “ Crowned Champion “. His house is just ahead, if you follow the mountain path.

You’ll know when you’re there after crossing a wooden bridge and reaching an area with a Save crystal, Salesplush and Bounty clerk. Head inside the house to see what this Crowned Champion has to say.

After some discussion, you will receive the Mountain Pass Key .

Unlock the mountain door¶

With key in hand, exit the house and ascend the flight of stairs to the west, then follow the treacherous mountain path around until you reach a conspicuous locked door.

Now which pocket did we put our key again?

Head up to the summit¶

The door unlocked as expected, so you’re free to head on through, to the Mt. Snowpeak Summit .

Head to the cabin¶

Up on the summit, spare a moment to appreciate the vista once more. Then make your way east and around, towards the cozy mountain cabin.

Go inside the Royal Cabin¶

Outside the cabin, Hughes shouts some orders to the paladins before heading inside. There’s no sense lingering around, so follow him inside the Royal Cabin .

Follow Laura to the peak¶

Apparently this has all been a big misunderstanding, but just when things begin to lighten up, a soldier comes reporting that the Napdragon is on the rampage. Failing to see the dangers ahead, Laura runs off ahead. What are you waiting for? After her!

From the cabin, head south, then follow the summit path clock-wise, crossing the suspension bridge ahead, and continuing onwards. As you reach the central peak, you will find Laura trying to reason with the Napdragon.

Go to the mountain peak¶

With Laura in tow, continue east from where you are, climbing up the large spiral peak. At the very top, there’s a rope leading within the peak.

Go into the Napdragons Nest¶

Gulp. When you’re ready, inspect the rope to jump inside…

Smash the Doom Stone!¶

In the nest, there’s a Doom Stone as expected and not one, but three Shadow Baby Dragons. Like before, you can blast through the baby dragons first to reach the Doom Stone or go around and shatter the Doom Stone when they’re distracted by Laura.

Open the treasure chest¶

Success! You’ve saved the day once again!

But it’s not over just yet: there’s a treasure chest further in that needs your attention.

Report back to Pam¶

Well, that was rather mysterious. You’ll receive the Goddess’s Cogwheel , plus a warning about an impending disaster.

For now, you should return to Pam to let her know you’re safe. To save time, open your Map and warp to the Guild Office or your home, depending on which one’s closer to Pam’s house.

As a reward for pacifying the Napdragon, you will receive a generous 2500 Dosh from the King. Not bad for a day’s work!
